Q. What type of resort is Dreams Playa Mujeres?

Dreams Playa Mujeres Resort & Spa is an all-inclusive resorts which offers: All you can eat (7 gourmet restaurants and buffets), All you can drink (alcohol, mixed drinks, daiquiris, and non-alcoholic beverages), Entertainment (the resort will have daily and nightly activities including shows and a night club), Water Sports (kayaking, paddle boarding, and other non-motorized water sports), several pools & water slides. Room Service includes 24-hour room service of food.

 

Q. Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are outdoors.

 

Q. What Should I Wear?

The wedding couple request that their guests wear a wedding formal attire.

 

Resort dress code for restaurants:

The resort restaurants require appropriate dress attire. No bathing suits, flip-flops, etc. Some of the resort restaurants has casual elegance dress code or formal dress code;  

Casual Elegance

Sneakers/tennis shoes or dress sandals, dress shirts with short sleeves or collared shirts. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops. Long pants required for men.

Formal

Men: long pants and collared shirts; dress shoes. Women: blouses, skirts, slacks or dresses; dress shoes

 

Q. What are the suggested travel dates?

The suggested travel dates are July 30- August 5th, however we want nothing more than for our friends and family to enjoy their VACATION :) . Please feel free to arrive as early in advance as you'd like and stay at the resort for as long as you'd like. Enjoy yourself, and VACATION :)

 

Q. Can I bring more guests than my invite states?

You are more than welcome to bring additional travel companions and friends to enjoy the vacation with us, however, the wedding event itself is invitation-only. Our travel agent can arrange travel for these additional friends and family members coming to vacation, but not attending the actual ceremony and reception.

 

Q. When is the RSVP date?

We are asking for family and close friends to RSVP by booking your room with our travel agent before March 1st, 2023. By booking your room, you will be added to our reserved room block and group activities guestlist.

Q. When should I book my flight? What is the best way to find good flight deals?

We suggest that each guest book their flights sooner rather than later. The later guests wait to book their flights, the higher the risk for future cancellation or flight price increases.

Q. Which airport I should arrive/depart from?

When searching for flights, the airport you are flying to is Cancun International Airport (CUN).

 

Q. Do I have to book with Jaime Magaña?

We highly recommend using our travel agent as it will help us to keep the entire group organized and included in our planned group activities as well as informed of logistics and frequent updates.

Q. Can I upgrade my room?

Absolutely! As long as the resort has availability for your travel dates.

 

Q. Should I purchase travel protection?

We recommend booking travel protection along with your itinerary from out travel agent. If you are looking for independent, outside coverage that is purchased separately, please do your research and book with any trusted travel protection provider as soon as possible. Cancellation fees are non-refundable, except through qualified travel protection reimbursements.

 

Q. Does Mexico charge any mandatory governmental fees?

Several Municipalities in Cancun, Riviera Maya and Isla Mujeres have enacted an Environmental Tax to help maintain beaches and ecosystems. This tax is not included in any packages and therefore may be assessed directly by the hotel upon check out. The cost of the tax is approximately $1.30 USD, per night, per room.

 

There is also a new Cancun Tourism Tax:

Effective April 1, 2021, arriving international visitors to the Cancun (CUN) airport will be required to pay $11 for the privilege of visiting Cancun and surrounding areas.

 

Q. Do I need to have my passport prior to making my deposit for the trip?

Passports are required at the time of travel.  Please allow 8-12 weeks for standard passport applications to process following your scheduled appointment with a passport "acceptance facility". If you do not obtain your passport prior to travel, you are responsible for any associated cancellation fees.

 

Q. What are the COVID-19 guidelines for entry and return to the US?

Unfortunately, regulation guidelines change very frequently. We will keep the group posted of any and all updates as it relates to the latest COVID-19 entry and exit requirements when it is closer to travel
