Q. Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are outdoors.

Q. What Should I Wear?

The wedding couple request that their guests wear semi formal all white attire,  absolutely no color other than white; no colored ties or purses or handkerchiefs or shoes for gorgeous picture purposes.

Resort dress code for restaurants:
The resort restaurants require appropriate dress attire. No bathing suits, flip-flops, etc.

Q. What are the suggested travel dates?
We want nothing more than for our friends and family to enjoy their VACATION :) . Please feel free to arrive as early in advance as you'd like and stay at the resort for as long as you'd like. Enjoy yourself, and VACATION :)

Q. Can I bring more guests than my invite states?
You are more than welcome to bring additional travel companions and friends to enjoy the vacation with us, however, the wedding event itself is invitation-only. Our travel agent can arrange travel for these additional friends and family members coming to vacation, but not attending the actual ceremony and reception.

Q. When is the RSVP date?
We are asking for family and close friends to RSVP by booking your room with our travel agent before December 30, 2022. By booking your room, you will be added to our reserved room block and group activities guestlist.

Q. When should I book my flight? What is the best way to find good flight deals?
We suggest that each guest book their flights sooner rather than later. The later guests wait to book their flights, the higher the risk for future cancellation or flight price increases.

If you are interested in having our travel agent Kelly Loder to book your flights for you please let her know when you speak with her. Depending on where folks are flying from and what time there could be a possibility of discounted/group rates (ask Kelly). If you are an avid traveler and prefer to book your own air travel that's fine too please let Kelly know your travel plans (flight details) as she will be managing our airport transfers to and from the resort.

Q. Which airport I should arrive/depart from?
When searching for flights, the airport you are flying to is Cancun International Airport (CUN).

Q. Do I have to book with Kelly Loder?
We highly recommend using our travel agent as it will help us to keep the entire group organized and included in our planned group activities as well as informed of logistics and frequent updates.

Everyone will receive a group discount at Dreams Playa Mujeres Resort & Spa, so you’ll always pay less than the internet by using Kelly Loder services.

Q. Can I upgrade my room?
Absolutely! As long as the resort has availability for your travel dates.

Q. Should I purchase travel protection?
We recommend booking travel protection along with your itinerary from out travel agent. If you are looking for independent, outside coverage that is purchased separately, please do your research and book with any trusted travel protection provider as soon as possible. Cancellation fees are non-refundable, except through qualified travel protection reimbursements.

Q. Does Mexico charge any mandatory governmental fees?
Several Municipalities in Cancun, Riviera Maya and Isla Mujeres have enacted an Environmental Tax to help maintain beaches and ecosystems. This tax is not included in any packages and therefore may be assessed directly by the hotel upon check out. The cost of the tax is approximately $1.30 USD, per night, per room.

There is also a new Cancun Tourism Tax:
Effective April 1, 2021, arriving international visitors to the Cancun (CUN) airport will be required to pay $11 for the privilege of visiting Cancun and surrounding areas.

Q. Do I need to have my passport prior to making my deposit for the trip?
Passports are required at the time of travel. As long as you provide our travel agent, Kelly, with your full legal name, you can arrange travel in advance. Instructions to apply for passports can be found here. Please allow 8-12 weeks for standard passport applications to process following your scheduled appointment with a passport "acceptance facility". If you do not obtain your passport prior to travel, you are responsible for any associated cancellation fees

Q. What are the COVID-19 guidelines for entry and return to the US?
Unfortunately, regulation guidelines change very frequently. We will keep the group posted of any and all updates as it relates to the latest COVID-19 entry and exit requirements when it is closer to travel.
